We were contacted by a very, very young chap (17 years old - the youngest we have come across for one that build tube amplifiers!) that has built quite a number of tube amplifiers to supply him a pair of cost effective output transformer for his class A2 811 tube amplifier. Such a brilliant young chap with great potential in tube amplifier or audio world!
It just so happened that we have a used Vintage Series (in between Level 0 and Level 1, obsolete now, being replaced by ALIS, but still can be custom made per request) Pri: 3.5K 90mA SE output transformer with EI Z11 on hand and we shipped it to him for 50% of the list price. The Vintage Series were designed with reference to various famous vintage output transformers and possessed very warm and good midrange, with decent highs and lows.
We shipped it to him after a little chat over Facebook and within a day or two, he has completed his upgrade! Talk about lightning fast response!
