6 tube design - integrated tube amplifier in the making... guess what design and what tubes are used?
9 transformers in total - 2 power, 3 PSU choke, 2 anode choke, 2 OPTS... I think it will weight 40kg or more...

A nice housing...not so cramped. Who made it? It is going to be a amp with 3 lines in...an attenuater. I would say it is going to be an integrated. It will be a transformer coupled design rather than a resistor / capacitor coupled design. It will be a SET design but which tubes...

ReplyDeleteVery close! The chassis is bought from a vendor at Hong Kong. Sadly, it's getting cramped now with more transformers mounted, but more transformers is a good thing.
You're right that it will be a SET design - 801A integrated class A1 and will go to A2 if more power is needed. It's a mixture of several coupling types.
